Tommi Rissanen has been Global Category Manager - IM & Data Analytics at Anglo American since 2017. In this role, he has been leading the global category management team within Group Supply Chain, with responsibility for strategic sourcing and contracting of hardware, software, networks, infrastructure, application development & maintenance, IT consulting, cybersecurity, digital transformation and data analytics services globally, working in close collaboration with customer stakeholders across Business Units and Group Functions up to CIO/CDO level. He has more than 17 years of professional experience in strategic sourcing, outsourcing, contract negotiation, cost reduction and vendor management, operating at Head of IT Procurement / IT Sourcing Director level, working at The Boston Consulting Group and Deloitte prior to his current position. His expertise covers the whole sourcing lifecycle from spend analytics and aggregation, requirements management, market assessments and sourcing strategy development through to managing competitive RFx processes, deal shaping, contract negotiations, bid evaluation, transition planning, supplier relationship management, supplier risk management, cost reduction and exit management.
